Ark Nova: The Inflatable Concert Hall

By  |

Want to inspire people through music, but don’t have the material to build a concert hall? Not a problem with the world’s first inflatable concert hall – the Ark Nova!

Designed by Anish Kapoor and Japanese architect Arata Isozaki, it was created to host events to uplift the spirits of Japan’s disaster-hit north-eastern coast residents.

Ark Nova’s multi-component design includes a hall with seating for between 500 to 700 spectators. And its shell is made of an elastic material that allows quick erection and dismantling.
