Lifetramp: Job-Shadow Someone for a Day

By  |

Ever wish there was something like “bring-your-kids-to-work-day” but for adults? Well, great news – Lifetramp is that thing! It’s a way for people to explore different lifestyles and careers to find what they really love doing.

So if you want to know what it’s like to be a professional blogger, or an architect, or a movie extra, or a yoga instructor, or any number of other professions that you dreamed you could find out more about, but never had anyone to ask – now you can.

The founders came up with this idea while on a trip to Tokyo. They wanted to know what it would be like to be a local, to see how it would feel like to live and work in Japan.

Today will connect you with someone in your chosen field. You can follow that person around for a day and learn everything you need to know to see if its a good fit for you (just remember to thank your personal “career councilor” by treating them to lunch or dinner or something).

Giving people an opportunity to shadow a professional and discover what it’s really like to work in that field, while also networking in that field from the get-go is fkn brilliant.
